First Nation Approvals is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We believe that every person in BC — including those with disabilities — deserves equal access to vehicle financing information and services.
1. Our Accessibility Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and form the basis of accessibility requirements under the Accessible British Columbia Act, SBC 2021, c. 19.
2. What We Have Done
We have implemented the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) are accessible by keyboard without a mouse
- Focus indicators — visible focus outlines are displayed when navigating by keyboard
- Alt text — all meaningful images include descriptive alternative text for screen readers
- Semantic HTML — headings, lists, and landmarks are used correctly to support assistive technology navigation
- Colour contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text)
- Responsive design — the website is fully usable on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops at any zoom level up to 200%
- Form labels — all form fields in the application process include descriptive labels and ARIA attributes
- Error identification — form errors are identified in text, not colour alone
- Language declaration — the primary language of the page is declared in the HTML to support screen readers
- Progressive enhancement — core content and functionality is available without JavaScript
3. Known Limitations
We continue to work on improving accessibility across all pages. Known areas we are actively addressing:
- Multilingual pages (Punjabi, Mandarin, Korean, Farsi, Portuguese) are in progress and may have incomplete translations or reduced accessibility features until fully implemented
- Some third-party embedded content (such as maps or lender portals) may not meet full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance — we are not responsible for third-party content but will seek accessible alternatives where possible

6. Applicable Legislation
This accessibility statement is provided in the spirit of the Accessible British Columbia Act, SBC 2021, c. 19, which requires organizations in BC to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility for persons with disabilities. While this Act currently applies primarily to the BC public sector and designated organizations, we voluntarily adopt these principles as part of our commitment to inclusive service.
